See these scans from Fall 03 vacation in Poland. We took grandpa's 20 year old van and the canoe
Dad constructed a little bed for me and put in a third seat so we all sat in the front row.
I was kind of curious to how this was gonna be.
The weather was nice - only nights a little cooler.
Non of us knew a whole lot about where we were going.
Lets start the adventure.

That's in Biskupin - oldest Polish settlement known - pretty much like a Fort - it was a cool morning -
that was a nice place for camping a lake and just us - I went canoeing with mom and dad
Malbork - doesn't that look pretty - old German knight order castle!!
Gdansk - little rain and we were kind of uneasy whether somebody would steal the van - dad bought me fresh bred and rolls
Where did come from now ..?
roads are pretty bad in Poland - man! I thought we'd lost the motor - but it was only the wheel bolts
Yes!, VW's have bolts - I had to get out to put them back in - dad told me not to brake them off...
that was hard work and the lunch well deserved
did I mention Gdansk is on the sea
Gdansk is a pretty town - much restorated after the war
